sowing and reaping

Yummy….. it’s harvest time! The most beautiful local, organic fruits and vegetables have been blessing my plate for meals shared with friends and family. Loved ones proudly displaying the abundance they have cultivated in their backyard gardens, tended with just the right amount of love, faith and nutrients necessary for fabulous growing conditions.

Since I’ve been travelling around this summer in “The Dream Machine”, I haven’t a garden plot. I also have not blogged in the last month (this blogging adventure is sure to be kept fresh through sporadic inclinations!) Taking note of these two situations is providing me an opportunity to reflect on the following questions. What have I cultivated this summer and what am I now harvesting?

The month of August for me, involved some much needed time alone with my lover, travelling in our dream mobile and enjoying each others company. After the chaos of the off-grid music festival that he helped throw, we needed some one-on-one time. It was beautiful. We chose to spend this time on a road trip to the Kootenays where we checked out some properties that interest us while further envisioning and co-creating possibilities for the home we intend to build together. We loved, laughed, swam everyday in a different place, gathered sage from the desert and ate peaches that were so juicy, they required licking our forearms clean.

Then we returned back to Vancouver, just in time for me to volunteer with Teen Journey. http://www.teenjourney.org/ This opportunity allowed me to work with an amazing organization which helps teens discover who they are and what they have to offer their community. Mostly, I was helping support parents in gaining skills of their own, so that they are better enabled to empower the emerging young adults. Through this process I was able to offer myself to something I believe deeply in,  learn more about myself, gain some wonderful new friends and spend an extended period of time operating from my heart space. What blessed gifts!

I also spent August enjoying catching up with my clients and investing time into my building my business. Specifically by lining up programs and offerings that have been cultivating over the past few years…. ready now to sprout.

In summary, this past month, I’ve sewn the seeds for a deeper connections, taken steps towards my dream home and invested in my business. Through this, I’ve been living out some of my top 5 passions including inspiration seeding, enjoying adventures with my soul mate and connecting deeply with my spirit.

Today, I’ll take a moment to celebrate these successes, most likely with a big bowl of beautiful produce!

I invite you now to have a look at your own inner landscape. What seeds did you plant this spring and how are they showing up for you? Did you tend them with care? What are you now reaping as a result and what do you choose to do to celebrate your successes?
